Poitevin Cédric

Cédric Poitevin is GRIP Deputy Director and Head of Research "Arms Transfers and Small Arms"
He has an extended expertise on proliferation of small arms and light weapons and their ammunition as well as on conventional weapons transfers, and particularly on international transfers controls, end-use and end-user controls, brokering, trafficking, and small arms marking and tracing. He also works on regional and national dynamics and initiatives to control small arms in West and Central Africa.
Recent research projects include arms brokering in Africa, air transport companies involved in destabilising arms transfers in Africa and a study of Sub-Saharan African countries capacities to implement the Arms Trade Treaty.
He has acted as an expert on behalf of various governments and regional and international organisations (among others, Belgium, France, ECCAS, ECOWAS, EU, UN France, OSCE, UN).
