Final evaluation of the ECOWAS Small Arms Control Programme (ECOSAP)
GRIP has undertaken the final evaluation of the ECOWAS Small Arms Control Programme (ECOSAP) in collaboration with DRIS Consult.
The evaluation was undertaken in the context of the renewing of ECOSAP mandate and to enable all the different stakeholders to the projects, including ECOWAS, UNDP and international donors, to analyse the progress accomplished by ECOSAP in strengthening national and regional capacities to fight against small arms illicit proliferation in the ECOWAS region.
The three main objectives of the evaluation were: 1°) measure the results obtained by ECOSAP; 2°) Examine the relevance of the selected areas of support under the project; and 3°) Assess the content of the Program’s interventions with the beneficiaries.
Timeframe: May to September 2011
Supported by UNDP-Mali.
