Non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction

If, initially, the end of the Cold War might have created the impression that the threats engendered by nuclear, biological and chemical weapons (the so called “unconventional weapons”) would slowly disappear, over the past decades the current affairs have constantly reminded us that we were mistaken. As a matter of fact, the challenges, as far as proliferation and unconventional disarmament are concerned, are multiplying. Indeed, the nuclear non-proliferation regime faces a crisis, arms race is restarting and terrorists are threatening to use weapons of mass destruction.

GRIP has specialised expertise in the development of nuclear, biological and chemical non-proliferation major treaties and also in key countries like North Korea or Iran. Furthermore, GRIP focuses on European Union policy regarding this issue and on dual-use goods and technologies, as well as missiles.
