International Small Arms Control Standards

The ISACS project developed by the United Nations Coordinating Action on Small Arms (CASA) aims at developing international standards that provide clear, practical and comprehensive guidance to practitioners and policymakers on fundamental aspects of small arms and light weapons control.

GRIP experts have been involved in the drafting of three ISACS modules on: 1°) National controls over the end-user and end-use of internationally transferred small arms and light weapons; 2°) Marking and record-keeping; and 3°) Tracing of illicit small arms and light weapons.

Timeframe: 2009 - 2011
