Drones: a new scope of action for the European Union

The "UAV era" represents a major challenge for national civil aviation authorities. The civil UAV sector has indeed experienced a rapid growth in recent years. The large-scale commercialization of these devices, accompanied by the continuous development of multiple applications, has made it possible to exponentially increase the number of these platforms and diversify their uses (recreational, commercial and professional). Their integration into the airspace therefore raises several issues (safety, security, privacy, responsibility, environmental protection) that require an appropriate regulatory framework.
